The Australian Hotels Association (WA) has announced that voting has commenced to determine which WA venues take home the glory in the 2022 AHA & Furphy WA’s Best Steak Sandwich Competition.
AHA(WA) CEO Bradley Woods urged Western Australians to get out to participating venues and enjoy the range of steak sandwich masterpieces on offer.

“Now in its 15th year, WA’s Best Steak Sandwich Competition is a culinary contest that inspires chefs across the state to produce the very best version of what is a truly classic pub meal,” Mr Woods said.
“While the federal election will soon determine who governs Australia, an equally important contest is being held in WA venues throughout month of May.
“This year there are 63 venues participating in the competition and there are some truly outstanding entries that are sure to impress.”
“It is fantastic that the WA Government announced the removal of mask wearing requirements to coincide with WA’s Best Steak Sandwich Competition.”
Voting is now open at www.hospitalitywa.com with the public able to cast their vote until 30 May 2022. Steak Sandwich finalists are determined using a combination of methods including online votes, judging criteria and mystery judge visits.
Four venue finalists are then determined from Country WA and four from Perth, who then compete in a cook-off in front of a live audience at the AHA Hospitality Expo at Crown Perth on 28 & 29 June 2022.
