Alcohol tax — It doesn’t pass the pub test!

The AHA is calling for a 40% reduction in the tax on beer and spirits sold on premise in venues like pubs, bars, restaurants and taverns as well as a freeze on the twice yearly excise increases.

This simple change would help keep drinks affordable while supporting local hospitality venues – the places where Australians connect and unwind.

Tell Canberra: It doesn’t pass the pub test.

When people and communities speak up, governments listen. Sending a quick message to Canberra and political leaders shows them this issue matters.

Let them know it’s time to give Aussies a break!

Send a message to Canberra – the Prime Minister, Treasurer, Opposition Leader, Shadow Treasurer and Leader of the Nationals by completing this form facilitated by our campaign partners Bundaberg Rum.
